Shoah Rememberance Committee of Muskegon
I recently revamped the SRCM site for a more clean, easy to navigate and read interface. There were a lot of things to take into account. SRCM is a non-profit organization with some religious affiliation, but that affiliation is not limited to one religion. Many religions come together to remember and learn from past. People from all over the world view this page to keep up to date about this small organizations events.
Even though this is a small organization, the leading members are constantly on the move and difficult to pin down for decisions and content. I had to do a lot of guess work and research about SRCM to make sure that all parties were happy. I went out on a limb and tried something different from the typical grey, blue and white that the other sites speaking about Shoah are doing. I felt that this was supposed to be an organization that brings people together and wanted the layout to feel more 'comfortable' than a generic information site. I wanted a 'blog' type format, but I knew it wasn't going to be updated often, so it was more 'announcement-like' than blog.
I've gotten many responses about how easy the site is to read; How easy it is to navigate. They really like it and want to see more content on the page.
